From Mudhoney to The JMC in 5 Steps

Last weekend I went up to Amherst to see my friend Ian’s “Friendship Bracelet Presents” concert.

I made a quick stop at Mystery Train Records and picked up three 7 inch recordings, including one from Mudhoney/Gas Huffer that was put out by Empty Records in 1992.

I don’t feel like I need to review the record.  The music speaks for itself:

Here’s the Jesus and Mary Chain, playing “Reverence” live.  Their album “Honey’s Dead” is played on cassette in my car almost as much as “The Way of The Vaselines.”
